PIETRASANTA: IN THE CENTER OF ART

Squeezed between the sea and the Apuan Alps, Pietrasanta is one of the historic towns of Versilia. Its marina has a long golden sandy beach equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds, a large pine forest and a beautiful promenade. Real pearl of the marina is the scenic boardwalksuspended over the sea and decorated with mosaics and statues.

The traditional activity of Pietrasanta is the processing of marble coming from the Apuan Alps, from here also passed several blocks destined to become famous works of art at the court of the Medici in Florence.

Today the city has become an international art center with many galleries open all year where are organized meetings, conferences, events. The square and the streets of Pietrasanta are often the scene of installations and art exhibitions of contemporary artists from around the world. The historical center itself is very well kept and full of monuments such as the theater, the civic tower, the cloister and the library.
